UNH offers enriching learning opportunities for older alumni through engaging courses, workshops, and programs designed to inspire lifelong growth and intellectual exploration.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Retired or semi-retired? Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNH offers non-credit courses, social events, and opportunities for involvement to retired and semi-retired  adults who enjoy lifelong learning in accessible and safe locations.

Active Retirement Association (ARA)

Membership in the ARA is open to all aged 50+, whether fully retired or not. As of Spring 2024, just over 300 members represent 40 cities & towns in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts

Free Courses

New Hampshire residents who are age 65 and older and are not enrolled in a degree program are eligible to take a maximum of two credit-bearing courses per academic year tuition-free. Students are responsible for all other costs of attendance, including fees.  Prospective students who will be age 65 or older as of the first day of the semester or term in which they wish to take a course may register on a space-available basis and must provide proof of age and New Hampshire residency
